Next to the twelve animation principles, there are a whole lot more things to take into account when creating an animation. Rhythm and texture are two of those extra principles that are a great asset to add to your arsenal of understanding animation. Unfortunately they are not the easiest to understand and utilize. The article that you find if you click the below link is most informative about the two, and there is also a small description of how he approaches shots which is very interesting.

Weight
Animschool blog [http://www.animschoolblog.com/] published two very helpful videos on animating weight through poses.
I've struggled with animating weight myself about a year ago when I had a very big guy punching someone else and stepping in the process and it just didn't feel like it had any weight to it. I got a better feeling for it over time and kind of knew what to do to improve on this weightlessness, but these videos really explain very well the exact reasons for it. It gave me a better understanding of weight.
